The Soldier Marathon begins at the National Infantry Museum in Columbus, Georgia at the Avenue of Flags. It travels for approximately 7.5 miles through Ft. Benning. The course then continues along the banks of the Chattahoochee River on the Riverwalk for an out-and-back section from Oxbow Meadows to Uptown Columbus.
The course then runs into Phenix City, Alabama via the 14th Street Pedestrian Bridge, and then returns over the Dillingham Bridge back into Columbus and runs south on the Riverwalk from the Trade Center back to the National Infantry Museum.
